It is a great honour to serve as Chairperson of Maungatautari Marae. I accept this responsibility with humility, mindful of the legacy left by our tūpuna and the responsibility we share to protect, strengthen, and grow it for future generations.

My vision is for our marae to be a thriving centre of culture, learning, leadership, and opportunity. A place where every uri feels a deep sense of belonging, where our reo and tikanga flourish, and where our rangatahi are inspired to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Together, we will foster a culture grounded in manaakitanga, kotahitanga, transparency, integrity, and accountability. Through good governance, thoughtful planning, and collective effort, we will create opportunities that honour our whakapapa while building a strong and sustainable future for our people.

As Ngāti Korokī Kahukura, we proudly uphold the values of the Kīngitanga under the leadership of Te Arikinui Kuini Ngā Wai Hono i te Pō, drawing strength from our shared history and our collective purpose.

Ko te angitu o tō tātou marae ehara i te mahi a te tokorua, engari he mahi nā tātou katoa. Mā te kotahitanga, te aroha, me te manaakitanga ka puāwai ai a Maungatautari mō ngā whakatipuranga e heke mai nei.

The success of our marae will never be the work of a few, but the achievement of us all. Through unity, compassion, and service, Maungatautari will flourish for the generations yet to come.

He waka eke noa. Mā tātou katoa te marae e hiki.

Mauri ora
